Google is our favorite search engine. It has put many SE's out of commission. And also have taken major part of the E-mail sector.
And now they have geared up to take over the web browser arena. It won’t be long before they come out with their own operating system. But that’s far n dream. Right now they have introduced their own browser which is good looking and uses fewer resources than Internet explorer or Fire Fox.
Still in Beta stages this web tool has all the functionalities of the latest browsers like multi-tabs, which are basically multiple explorer windows in one main window. A sand box window appears when you click on the ‘+’ button on top. In which most browsed pages from the user are stored and shown.
An excellent feature is the incognito window which is pretty cool if you want to browse pages and don’t want to show them in the browsing history. This window will not store any cookies/URL’s/passwords. So if you are planning a gift for someone on the family and don’t want them to know use this window and they will never come to know about it. At least not with this web browser.
Also when you are composing an e-mail or posting on forums and you type in correct words, the auto spell-check will underline the word red. Similar to that of Microsoft word and if you right click the word you get correct word options too. Select the right one and click on it to change. When it came to browsing speeds and youtube video streaming it was much faster than IE and FF. A minor drawback which I am sure will be changed. Is when you download files they don’t have resume functionality which would have made it a total power package.
Overall an excellent new browser that is still in BETA stages. Hope does not stay in BETA for several years like Gmail is till now.
